Autumn is here - time for chutney, roasts and saving money!

Hi all,
Sorry for the delay - busy few weeks, more DIY and also work aplenty!
I promise to update soon and hope everyone is well - my latest project is the stair bannister and redoing the bathroom, which we are obviously trying to do as frugally as possible...

I can totally relate. I've got projects all over the house that need to be completed and not enough time. I've neglected my blog for the last week since our anniversary and my wife's birthday is this week. Hang in there and keep saving money. I love to save a ton of money doing my own home projects.

Hi all thanks for the comments - as you can see today's blog covers alot of what we have been up to!
Si.tudor what oil did you use? Also I like the idea of hunting round charity shops for ornaments etc - will keep an eye out!
Dave congrats on your anniversary and I hope you get some more projects tied up. Feels like right now we are hanging in there but money is flying out... hence we've tried to save some by buying from ebay - saved £30 on the shower panel and around £10 on flooring, however it still all mounts up!
